SoloMahj is the invention of the instructors at the Mahjong Academy of Dallas who were trying to find a way to help new students grasp the game more quickly and build confidence.  

They then discovered that they loved to play it themselves. An easy way to relax and play a quick hand, it has become a much-anticipated relaxation ritual as well as a skill builder.
